I had a lot of fun dying Easter eggs with the boys this year! The boys had a blast and were so proud of themselves for doing it all by themselves! Especially Bryson, when he decided to use his bare hands!! :( What a mess afterwards!! Brode even surprised me with an egg that said, "Mom." It was my favorite one...
I also enjoyed being able to tell the Easter story to my sons. They were attentive, asked a lot of questions, and have begun to understand what this holiday is all about. My sweet Brode even invited Jesus into his heart and I couldn't have been more proud. As I prayed with him, Bryson, also, prayed with us. It was priceless. A moment that I'll cherish forever.
Bryson may be a little too "young" to comprehend what Christ did for us on the cross. At first he used to pull up his shirt and say, "In my tummy" when we asked him where Jesus lives. Now he'll answer, "In my heart." I love my boys' childlike faith. I pray it only grows stronger as they grow older.
Hope everyone had a blessed Easter!!
