Boys Joint Family Party

In previous years, we have had the privilege of hosting my mom and dad (in Texas) for our boys birthday celebrations. We loved our special time with them. This year, however, was the first year we were able to celebrate with the boys Great Grandma, Aunts, Uncles, cousins, AND their Mimi & Papa. The boys had a blast.

My sister does an amazing job at baking cakes. This year, the boys wanted her to make an Angry Birds cake. I must say, she did a fabulous job!!  The cake not only looked good but it tasted good as well!

After playing outside with cousins, eating cake, and opening presents, we set up a movie projector in our basement so the kids could watch a "big" movie! The boys picked "Wreck it Ralph" and everyone snuggled together with popcorn and candy.

This is a birthday year I won't forget. Although, I didn't get any pictures (I don't know what I was thinking), the boys were also able to celebrate with Andrew's family this year (another first for us). The boys Uncle Scott & family were in town, their Grandma Pam, Grandpa Roger, and Uncle Aaron made the drive, too!  Fortunately, we had good weather so we could enjoy family time outdoors. It was nice having everyone together, after so many years.

I'd definitely say our boys were spoiled this year! Lots of visitors. Lots of gifts. Lots of cake! I'm pretty sure we are all "caked out" until next year. Happy Birthday, boys!!!
