NO FEAR.

The Zoo. Brode is not afraid to touch the animals (he would pet a lion if we allowed him too). He's not fearful of riding the train and would have even done the "skyfari" (a ski lift that travels over the giraffes, elephants, and rhinos) if we had let him. Our little boy is just not fearful.

The Jet Ski. Brode rode on a jet ski when he was one year old. This summer, he wanted to ride, "fast." He would continuously say, "go fast!" and just beam... No fear.

The Lake. We assumed our little boy would be somewhat fearful of lake water - he can't see the bottom, it's dark & dirty, and there's mystery objects floating everywhere. He had no fear. With a lifevest on, he'd march right into the water. THEN if that wasn't enough, he'd walk onto the dock and he'd climb onto this water tramp and just jump off all by himself!! If we weren't watching, he would have gone in without us being there to catch him! Seriously, no fear...

Toads. Brode's little cousins will catch dozens of toads on the beach. Last night, Brode wanted to catch them too, see them in their buckets, and watch them "hop high!" Yuck! I can't even catch a toad... No fear!

Tubing. After seeing his cousins go "tubing" on the water, Brode wanted to give it a try. He literally wanted to do it ALONE but that didn't fly with me. So Mommy, Daddy, & Brode gave it a whirl... he actually went tubing! He didn't last long, but we sure gave him credit for trying... Again, no fear!!

I am beyond amazed at how fearless our two-year old son is. I'm encouraged to see him willing to try anything and doing it all by himself. I don't want him to have fear. But then again, it makes me all the more cautious, too. It'll be interesting to see if his fear will grow the older he gets or disperse all together. I could learn a lot from him... No fear.
