This is long overdo but I'm finally posting pictures from our trip to New Orleans. We decided to utilize Andrew's Spring Break by driving 5.5 hrs to visit Andrew's family. This trip was a breeze compared to the usual 12 hours in the car!
We visited the Audobon Aquarium where the kiddos enjoyed the Amazon rain forest, feeding parakeets, and touching Sting Rays! I still can't believe how slimy those suckers were!
I'd actually say the boys enjoyed spending time with their cousins riding toys the most! It was like Boy Heaven around here with "Souped-Up" Escalade's, Police Cars, and Go Karts! I most enjoyed watching Brode drive Kingston around one afternoon - Kingston was perfectly content sitting passenger and the boys just laughed and made silly faces at each other. Brode also figured out how to navigate his way around the neighborhood in a low riding go-cart. He grew up so much in 3 days!
Even Bryson got a thrill out of riding with Brode - he was perfectly content sucking his thumb as his brother drove him around.
Can you tell we were in New Orleans (notice the beads)? For some reason, the boys loved these silly things!
Mommy and Daddy even took turns riding electric motorcycles around their neighborhood! :)
Needless to say, we were very pleased with our visit. It was the first time in five years since we'd been with the Shanle's for more than a few hours at a time. I loved seeing Brode and Bryson bond with Jagger, Kingston, and Aibree. What fun they would have together if they lived in the same state! Thanks, Scott and Erin for hosting us! We are glad we made the "short" drive!! :)
