Our sweet Bryson turned two years old on April 8 (he shared his bday with the resurrection of Christ this year). He was all smiles... I wish everybody could have seen how much joy he had on his special day. Because the day was so busy with church, easter egg hunt, and birthday, we celebrated his birthday after bath time in the the comfort of our p.j.'s!
As we sang his birthday song, Bryson giggled, sang, & swayed back & forth in his chair. He just couldn't contain his excitement and it melted mommy's heart.
Bryson loves "choo choo" trains, so we made him a Train Birthday Cake. Ironic fact: Brode also had a train cake for his 2nd birthday... they LOVED all the candy piled on top!! :)
I'd say we made another successful birthday cake by these cheesy smiles...Bryson kept wanting me to sing his birthday song and he'd just smile. Even today, one week later, he wakes up asking if it's his birthday! So sweet!
This is a picture from earlier in the day... Mimi & Papa gave Bryson a water table and he absolutely loved it... plays with it every day!
During present time, Bryson was so excited and would literally gasp at each gift! :) So darling...
After every gasp, he'd name what he received, "Dog!" or "Ball!" or "Train!" :)
Bryson was willing to let big brother help in the excitement... With their birthdays so close together, I don't think they quite understand the concept of "birthday." It probably felt more like Christmas around here...
Bryson walked around the room, showing everyone his new dog. He kept calling it his "baby" because he also got a huge "Mama Dog" to go along with it...
I told you he gasped at each gift! :)
Bryson ended his special day by opening his golf clubs. But you better watch out... he hasn't perfected his swing yet!
I can't tell you how pleased I am to be Bryson's Mommy. He's my sweet, cuddly little boy and he fits perfectly into our family. At age two, he can practically do anything big brother can do (or at least he thinks so)! He is soft spoken but speaks many words when you ask him to. He can say all of his colors, he can name everybody he loves, he can tell you what he wants with generally one word. His longest sentence consisted of 4 words. I know his vocabulary will take off now that he's two and I'm excited to hear his sweet voice more often.
Bryson loves playing outside with Brode. He can ride his battery operated four wheeler all by himself, he enjoys shooting water guns, he loves to swing and slide. He loves cuddling up on the couch for movie time & popcorn (that boy can demolish a bowl of popcorn)! He loves visiting the baby duckies at his nearby lake. He will bring you a pile of books and plop on your lap. He snuggles with a blanket at "nigh nigh" time and will blow me kisses as I walk out the room... He loves his Sunday School class but mostly b/c he has such an amazing teacher who loves him each weekend.
I love my sweet two-year old to pieces and I praise God for him daily! Happy Birthday, sweet boy. We are proud of you and thankful to have you a part of our family. May God bless you with a long, healthy, & fruitful life. Your Mommy will always love and be there for you!
