Because we had already celebrated the boys' birthday party with friends, we kept Bryson's official birthday simple. It was just us and Grammy & Papa!!
Bryson started the big day by opening many special gifts from his family back home.
He had so many wonderful, fun toys! Thank you all for helping us celebrate this special day!
His very first remote control car... Although he's basically chewing on it here, he's already figured out how to push the buttons!! And when we drive it, he chases after it!
A perfect toy for his Firetruck Birthday party. And if any of you are curious, we chose this theme because Bryson's favorite toy is a push/ride firetruck... He loves it, therefore we picked a Firetruck party!
Our little man has been walking (with the help of furniture and toys for several months). Since turning 1, he's taken multiple steps on his own (10-12 has been at most) and, boy, is he so proud!!!
Won't it be amazing if he grows up to be a Firefighter?
Our sweet little Brode was such a great helper to Bryson on his special day!
And the cake... This was such a fun cake to design!! :) Of course, I think Brode loved it more...

Bryson kept picking at the frosting on the wheels. He dove right in!
His first taste of sugar...
Once his fingers got too messy, he had had enough though! He does NOT like food sticking to his fingers!!
I think this means we had a very tasteful Firetruck cake! Brode kept saying, "Happy Birthday to you, little brother."

I can't believe how big the boys are! You my friend are a very talented party planner and cake decorator.
so glad we could join in the celebration! what fun! i can still hear brode ask where the firetruck cake's eyes were...you can tell he's been watching "cars" :)
