Fun in the Sun Party

Talk about Birthday Central around here... Brode turned 3 year's old on April 2 and Bryson turned 1 year on April 8. In order to save myself from having to throw two parties (I'll have plenty of that the older they get), we collaborated the two and invited all of their friends and family for Fun in the Sun!!!

I don't know how many times poor, little Brode asked if he could have a cupcake... I finally gave in once his friends started to arrive.
Here was my "snack table." We threw the party from 10 - Noon, so we thought this was a cutesy way to feed our guests... It was a hit!
In fact, it was such a hit, that no body wanted to mess up my pretty spread of finger foods! :) Here were the party favors and, YES, a pinata!! :) We live in Texas now... You can't have a party without one!

But of course... he had to test his cupcake first - well the frosting, that is.
It must have been a success! That face and smile says it all...
Here's little Gage. Some of our closest friends, Matt & Kelly, have helped us celebrate our boys birthdays ever since we moved south. They've become like family...Brode and the big kids jumping on the trampoline WITH a sprinkler underneath! Those crazy kids! I'm surprised no body got hurt!

Okay, here are a few of the older kids enjoying the pinata. I saw it fit to just have the pinata where you pull the ribbons until the candy falls out - I wasn't quite ready to have little kids swinging a bat. Although, I know Brode would've been thrilled!!! Here is most of the gang. I also thought this picture was priceless... Each child's expression tells a different story...

Meet Weston. This is one of Brode's play buddies from his playgroup. They have truly started to get to know one another. It's been AWESOME seeing Brode socialize with these kids. He's truly blossomed since day 1.
Present time! When I told Brode he could start opening presents he said, "These are mines?" or "For me?!" Of course he had a little help from his friends... Each time he'd open one he'd look at me and say again, "These are mines?!" Yes, buddy. They are yours!
Sportin his new shades from Maddison and Ivy Rose! :) He literally "struck a pose!"
Meet William. He is a play buddy of Bryson's. I've seen him grow up quite a bit since we've moved here... He's such a cutie pie!
Now, it's Bryson's turn... Although he loves his new gifts, he would have been thrilled with just the boxes and wrapping paper.
I think their birthday party was a success! Thank you friends & family for helping to make this such a special day. We couldn't have done it without you and we are so thankful to have made friends like you!
