Jersey Barnyard

For those of you that don't know, I've joined a "Mom's Club" here in town. It's a nation wide organization for stay at home Mom's, like myself! They organize play groups for Mom's with children of similar ages, park days, field trips, holiday parties/events, and so much more!
Well, for our first field trip, I took the boys to "Jersey Barnyard." Above, is the group of Mommies who joined us for this fun occasion (we are on the far right - Brode is almost hidden). We won the "hay walk!" Brode & I walked through this challenging maze and found our way out first (Brode was a pro - he saw this done on Curious George once so he knew what he was doing)!!
Brode posing as a cow, before feeding and petting the farm animals.
Here, Brode was viewing the "piggies." He also saw a donkey, pony, several roosters, chickens, and hens. He was able to feed pellets to the baby goats and found a pile of hay for the cows!
Ahh, the baby calves. This was one of Brode's favorite things to do! He was able to feed a baby calf an entire bottle of milk all by himself! I can't believe how quickly they guzzle that milk! Brode was also the first kid to step up and milk a cow! His Daddy couldn't be more proud! He swooped in their like a champ and milked away... asking to do it "more."Our last activity was a hayrack ride around the 100 year old, three generation dairy farm. This, too, was exciting for Brode to do... We had a great time!
