We made it safely to Nebraska on Sunday afternoon. Grammy and Aunt "Ce-Ce" were there to pick us up at the airport. Brode warmed up to them immediately and they were thrilled!
Brode tried his first Christmas sugar cookie upon our arrival. His choice... a candy cane! He, of course, loved it. Now he will say, "cookie!" whenever he wants a snack! ;)
Later that night, Brode's aunts, uncles, and cousins came over to greet us. Brode lit up when he noticed all of the other "little people." Although it was a little overwhelming, he did great and is enjoying the company of family.
He adored his oldest cousin, Makylee on his first night here. He would just plop right on her lap and snuggle with her. Everyone is loving their little nephew... We are thankful.
We are anticipating a lot more fun this upcoming week with family and friends! We are so excited to be here... even though it's "FREEZING!" ;)

AHHHH. You're in Lincoln. We are coming to Lincoln. We will be within minutes of each other tomorrow. Enjoy your time with family, Sarah, I know it is such a precious time.
I'm glad you made it safely, Shanle family! Enjoy your freezing weather because when you come back to Texas, it may not be like that. It was in the 70's today!!
