Blue Bonnets - state wildflower of Texas - are very popular at this time of year. We, of course, waited until the last day to try and take pictures in the beautiful fields. Unfortunately, there was too much wind to get any nice photos, but none-the-less it was still entertaining and worth seeing.
Brode Bear, enjoying the company of his Grammy outdoors. He loves his Grammy's hair and would often times touch it, giggling with glee. Brode also spent time playing "hide-n-go-seek" with his Grammy. He'd crawl away, finding a hiding spot and just wait for her to find him.
Brode Bear loving his Papa. We often times give Brode "butterfly kisses" so here is Brode giving his Papa a butterfly kiss and Papa giving him one in return. Brode spent his time going on walks with Papa and watching the garage door go up and down with excitement (his eyes would open wide and his mouth would drop in astonishment)!
Another windy day in Brenham, but we still headed to Lake Somerville for a quick lunch in the park. We spent most of the time allowing Brode to slide and then walked down to the lake for a quick peek.
Thank you, Grammy & Papa, for visiting us in our new home. Your help was appreciated but most importantly your willingness to drive 13 hours in order to help our son celebrate his first birthday touched our hearts. We absolutely LOVED hosting you in our home and will welcome you back any time. We already miss you and can't wait to have you again. Thank you again for everything you did. We love you both!

Personally, I like the windy hair look in the family picture. It looks like you had fun. It was windy in KS too. 60 mph winds.
Oh, and I love how J'net and Mike matched...both wearing green shirts. So cute.

you know how everyone wears red on a football saturday....everyone was in the bluebonnet fields taking pictures. brides, senior pictures and go big red fans :) they are beautiful!!!!!
