The Slipper Has Fallen Off

They have been known as the "Cinderella Team" ever since the Cubs continued to win playoff games. They weren't predicted to even make playoffs, let alone make it to the 4th round. They were only two wins away from competing in the State Championship game. Last Saturday night, the Cubs competed against one of the best teams in the state of Texas: the Dayton Broncos. The Cubs played their little hearts out but couldn't shut down quarterback, Cody Green (Nebraska's
recruit for next season). So, after five long, grueling months of practicing, lifting, game planning, and meeting, the Brenham Cubs season has finally come to an end. The loss was bitter sweet but it has been quite a ride for these young men and coaches. I have to say, I am so proud of my husband for all the hard work and dedication he put forth this season. He has made quite an impact on these young gentleman's lives and has touched many of their hearts, on and off the field. It takes guts doing what these guys do every day and for Andrew to be apart of this, while maintaining his reputation in Christ is quite an accomplishment. I am proud of you, Andrew James Shanle. You still amaze me... Great job this season, Cubs!
