Potty Trained!

After showing signs of wanting to go potty all by himself, we had officially started potty training Brode on July 7. By July 17, he was already telling us when he had to go potty and poo on his own! He'd even sit on his potty chair for 30 minutes until ALL the poo came out!! :) We were so impressed and proud of him! 

It has only been about one month and he's made so much progress! His pull-ups have remained dry 90% of each day (unless it's at nap or bed time). So, we decided to graduate him to big boy underwear! Although I had several cute pics, I tried picking the most modest to share... 
Brode hasn't had an accident yet! I keep him in pull-ups when we are out and about, running errands. However, I've been impressed that he still tells me when he has to go - even in the busy part of our day. 

I've had to train myself, too... For example, when we are at story time, or the pool, or the grocery store and Brode tells me he has to go I sometimes find myself not wanting to go through the work. However, he's made such good progress and if he can remember to tell me at such a busy time, I've learned to just take him! And sure enough... he's held his potty, he goes, and his pants have remained dry!

Way to go, Brode Bear! I'd say you are about 90% potty trained!! ;) I can't believe how fast you picked up on this! Keep up the good work, baby!
