Sunny Days

I miss my home in Nebraska for several reasons: my ability to see family whenever I want, being able to see a blanket of freshly-fallen snow, and snuggling near a warm fireplace at Mom and Dad's. However, we've been taking advantage of the luxury in the weather down south. It's been absolutely beautiful and sunny.  We spend most afternoons sitting outdoors and basking in the sun (I actually got a little sunburn the other day)!!  

Reasons we like Texas so far: warmer weather, long walks with Brode in February, days at the park in the winter, lounging outdoors with hubs as our baby naps, good friends who will soon be our neighbors, birds chirping year round, the smell of fresh-cut grass in the winter, wearing shorts and t's in the winter AND being able to go barefoot all year round! 

In Texas, it's already beginning to feel like summer is drawing near which means we'll be home soon... But first things first, we'll see you Nebraskans in a couple weeks! Poor Brode Bear will feel so "trapped" as he's forced to stay in doors... =)
