Batter, Batter, Batter

Brode had his first baseball game this past week. Although a little hesitant at how it would go, he quickly adapted and realized how fun the game could be! He even had Daddy's help, which was a lot of fun to watch. He was the only lefty on the field and he hit the first ball pitched! We were so proud!

It was so entertaining to watch these four year old's as they figured out the game. One child hit the ball and ran... and ran... and ran... all the way to the outfields before he turned back around. It was hysterical. When the ball was hit, Brode would scammer after each one and would throw it back to the pitcher. Nobody knew which base to run to unless they were told. Most kids were distracted and played in the dirt as they waited for each batter.

All-in-all, I'd say it was a great first baseball game. We've got a lot of teaching to do but now the kids know what to expect! It'll be interesting to see how they improve each week!
