2. Kill baby lizards (yes, plural) inside the house! I know, it's terrible but we've tried catching them in order to free them - their tails fall off and they die anyway. Last time (don't look down on me) I had to use a fly swatter! Again, Brode said, "Just do it, Mom!" (he was getting impatient as I was standing their for what felt like an eternity, with chills all over my body, as I contemplated how to swat the poor thing)!
3. Teach my son which bugs he can touch and not touch. We have officially seen a scorpion outside of our house (thank goodness we haven't found one in doors yet). These little things can sting, so we've taught Brode (with insect cards) which bugs he can't touch!! He definitely can't touch ones with pincers!!!
4. Check our sheets at night for Scorpions! Oh, can you imagine?!
5. Catch a toad (all while my sons were napping) b/c I knew Brode would LOVE seeing it once he woke up. I was right, too.
Oh, the joys of living in the south...

The joys of living in the South and being a mother of boys!
you touched a toad? Oh you are a brave woman.
We have rattlesnakes too. Watch out for tall grasses and water!
brave woman!! i HATE spiders! i know it's only a matter of time before i have to kill one just to keep it from eating my baby girl.. or maybe just touching or her eating it. i really hope she never tries that!
You are a brave mama! A good too to catch that toad for Brode. James will kill daddy long legs for me. He likes to stomp on bugs, but I am trying to teach him not to kill butterflies.
Eek! I can't imagine seeing a tarantula in the house, I would probably pass out! I can hardly handle the wolf spiders we get! Hope all is well!
wow!!!!!!! you are super-MOM!!! maybe in the moment I could, but definitely scares me thinking about all of those!!!
