It has been much more exciting to have Brode along for the games this year. Although I can't watch football like I used to (distracted by my precious babies), I still enjoy watching my two-year old play with friends & walk up and down the bleachers.

I
especially like when he walks along with me and places his arm around my waist! :) He claps, cheers, and yells "touchdown!" If I'm not clapping, he'll turn around and say, "clap, Mommy!" (even if it's for the other team... that's the spirit)!

The boys are so young, inexperienced, and a bit small but they are working hard. They've already made improvements since day one. This is what we wanted, as they continue to build their program.

Coach Shanle was just named Defensive Coordinator after last week's game! He will continue to perform his Special Teams Coordinating tasks, so he has a lot on his plate now.

It's been a blast watching him on the field, making his own calls, and encouraging the guys. The boys seem to respond well to him.

This kid intercepted a pass & ran 100 yds for a touchdown to seal the Eagle's first victory. Moments like this remind Andrew why he loves the game & why he loves to coach. Moments like this remind me why I endure the long football seasons & why I enjoy being a coaches wife.
