Our Fourth was pretty uneventful but we still supported the "red, white, and blue" and enjoyed time together as a family. Thankfully, it was a sunny day so we were able to enjoy time outdoors - Brode would throw his "poppers" and spent plenty of time at his pool.

Holidays definitely make me miss home the most. This was our first Fourth away from home and we would have loved the company of all of our family and friends. I am truly grateful for a good relationship with my husband and boys... it makes time away from home a lot easier.

Brode was all over his baby brother! He wanted to hold him, "pet" him, and see him "coo." I love the moments when he initiates all the loving... I love to see him sneak kisses or hear him say, "ni-ni baby" or "love you, baby." What a great big brother... The other day I told him how much fun Bryson would be when he got older. Brode just beamed and told me he wanted to play baseball, run fast, and jump with him! I can't wait to see them play together!! :)
