"Happy Day!"

With all of the excitement of welcoming our newborn into this world, we didn't want to skip over someone else's special day... Brode turned two this year and kept saying, "Happy Day!!" (now every time he sees presents he thinks he's getting "more happy day!")
The theme this year: Planes, Trains & Automobiles. With help from my mom and sister (who came to TX to celebrate) I made and decorated this train! It turned out pretty cute and Brode was so excited to see his "choo-choo!"
We invited a few friends and celebrated his big day at a nearby park. The little ones tuckered themselves out at the park and had rosy red cheeks. But by cake time, they were all for it! ;)
Brode even downed a whole slice of pizza and had punch! I have to admit, it would have been all the more perfect had his beloved cousins been there too, but we were so blessed to have friends help us enjoy his 'happy day.' Thank you for all of those who helped us celebrate our son's birthday. It was such a joy watching our son that day.
Lastly, "Mi-Mi" and "Papo" brought down this special number, "The Mongoose." Brode was so excited to learn he could drive this all by himself! His smile was priceless. I cannot believe how a two-year old can all of a sudden look so big. Happy Birthday, baby boy.
