For those of you that don't know, we were able to take a trip back home - over my birthday - for some time with family. It was much needed and we had a great time.

Brode wasn't as clingy to his Mommy this time around and spent more quality time with his "Mi-Mi" and "Pa-Po." I loved hearing him call them by name and take them by their hand...

One of Brode's favorite toys was this big red barn that my uncle had made us when we were little. Not only would Brode put the cows, horses, and pigs in the barn but he'd find a way to climb in himself! ;)

Finally a picture with my son... It's amazing how few of these I actually have. :(

On one of the days while we were back, we decided to surprise Brode and his cousins by taking them to "Lost in Fun." This is an indoor play land for kids and boy did they have a blast! This is Brode on his way there!!

Brode and his "Ne-na" in the ball pit. He also learned each of his cousins by name and would constantly call them by name. My heart breaks for he is still asking for his "Ree, Ne-na, and Boo" even today.

Brode loves the slides! Each time he'd slide down, he'd smile and look at me and say (and sign) "more??" It's amazing how the little things make their day (and mine).

I didn't know how Brode would handle this huge, foam pit but he did great! He'd jump right in - all by himself - and even crawl all the way to the other side! Needless to say he wore himself out! ;) The neat thing about Lost in Fun is they give the kids a bracelet to wear and it's good for the whole day. Andrew and I took Brode back later that night and he had an even better time jumping in the jumping castle with his Daddy. It was so fun to see them play "rough" in the castle! Brode would get braver and braver as he'd climb up the stairs and jump down the slides. He even tried going down on his belly and almost flipped over!

The face of a 23 month old living life and loving it. I'm so proud of him and how much he loves his cousins. I love how they got along so well and I wish we were able to have more play dates! :( At least they are more memorable when we are home...
