11 Months

Our little baby is turning into a little boy. One more month and we'll have a one-year old on our hands. We can hardly believe how fast the time flies. Brode's little personality is turning into something bigger as well. He baby babbles constantly and is learning to say new words like, "buh buh" for bye bye. He'll sit in his highchair with us and carry on a conversation with us like he really knows what he's saying! On top of that, he's developed a "fake" laugh! So if he hears Mommy and Daddy laughing, he'll throw his head back and start laughing too! Brode is also getting braver and braver... he'll balance all by himself and take bigger "leaps of faith" as he moves from one object to the next. If he's distracted, he'll stand alone for several seconds but once he realizes what he's doing, he falls back to his buns! =) "Stranger Danger" phase has seemed to pass as well, which is fortunate for our trip back home. He seems to be okay with most everyone now. Of course, Brode's still very observant so he might stare you down for a few seconds but he's not so fearful anymore. Brode has also learned how to give slobbery kisses (open mouthed of course) and he'll snuggle with you, if you're lucky! Happy 11 monther, Brode Bear! You are getting so big and we are so proud of you, little guy! =) Love you!
