Lots of "News"

The Berry Center, Cypress TX

I just realized I haven't posted in awhile but I've been incredibly busy. I wanted to keep you in the loop. We could use your prayers as we enter - yet another - new chapter in our lives.

While we were back in NE for a summer visit, Andrew had just turned down a chance to be Assistant Head Coach and Defensive Coordinator at a school in Iowa. Shortly after that (and us feeling surprisingly at peace), he received a random call from a Head Coach in the Houston area. Long story short: after many talks, visits, and prayers, we decided to accept the offer of Defensive Coordinator at a 5A high school in TX (5A is the absolute top and this is such an extraordinary title for a young buck like Andrew - a Nebraska native at that).

That said, we are making the move to the Houston area in two short weeks! This move will be bitter sweet as we've made ourselves quite a home here and have made so many wonderful, life long friendships. However, we know that this is the right career move for Andrew and we feel like this is where God is leading us next.

Prayers: that the move would go smoothly. That we'd transition easily and quickly. That I, along with my boys, would make great friendships again (this made my life so enjoyable here). That we'd find a solid, bible teaching church. That Andrew would give 100% and use his talents to better the team and glorify God. That we'd officially be able to settle down (although I tease Andy that he's lucky to have me b/c I've followed him around the world, I'm ready to start settling in - even if it can't be in NE. The older the boys get, the harder it'll be to keep moving). Finally, that we won't ever have to evacutate because of hurricanes!!!! :) We noticed on our new home, that the roof had been repaired due to damages done by Hurricane Ike!!! :(

Well, that's an update from our little world. We sincerely appreciate your prayers. Thanks everyone. We love and miss you all.

WOW Sarah! You and I will just be following our husbands forever and loving it. Although, I totally understand getting settled and making great friendships. Which gives me just the right experience to know how to pray for you! And I will.

Thanks for the update!!!
