We took our boys to the Austin Zoo this past weekend. I think we've been spoiled by Henry Doorly Zoo (Omaha) because no other zoo has come close to comparing. However, we made the most of our time and enjoyed some QT with the family.
Brode LOVED the monkeys and began acting like them... literally.
He got Daddy involved on this one.
Our first TX zoo experience was a pretty ghetto, sketchy looking one - Brode tried feeding a supposed calm & friendly Llama, who in turn, attacked him. He's been scarred ever since and WOULD NOT feed the "petting zoo" animals! :) I don't blame him.
Bryson, however, was too young to remember so he absolutely LOVED these animals. He even tried growling at them...
Daddy was a sport and fed all of the animals for his boys, while they simply watched & enjoyed.
We met up with a our close friends... Little did we know they got their precious son in our family picture - I guess that means he's part of the fam now! :)
And needless to say, we can't wait to re-visit Henry Doorly when we are back in town. Brode won't be asking where the real zoo is!!!

Ha! That last picture made me laugh! I had no idea Matt lifted up Gage. I had a hard time seeing through the camera, so I didn't notice. Too funny!
Miss y'all! We need to get together again soon since our time living in the same town is running out. :(
