The Brenham Cubs Football season has officially begun, as of last week. Andrew began his long, grueling days of meetings and two-a-days. Brode gets a lot of one-on-one time with his Mama, considering his Daddy doesn't get home until well after dark. Most nights, we head to the fields while Andrew coaches. Brode gets to run around with the other kiddos and gets to hug and kiss his Daddy at water breaks. Then - exhausted and red faced - we go back home for Brode's bath and bed time.
A lot of people see our little boy, observe his speed, and tell us they see a future cub on our hands. We don't have the heart to tell them that we still have Husker blood and envision our baby boy following in his Daddy's footsteps. Although, we will always support the RED, we can't help but admit our little guy looks pretty darn cute in GREEN. =) Go CUBS!!
